MY BOOKSHELF

My virtual bookshelf of books and audiobooks that I have read or listened to during this journey.

This was the first book I listened to as I started my break from alcohol. There are many good points in this book, and it was a good listen. I will probably come back to it again

The 30-Day Sobriety Solution:
How to Cut Back or Quit Drinking in the Privacy of Your Own Home
This is a structured program with readings and action activities to help you quit or reduce your drinking. You will have to commit to not drinking at all for a minimum of 30 days. I started Day 1 of the program when I started this blog. I am reading the eBook.

Between Breaths:
A Memoir of Panic and Addiction
Elizabeth Vargas is co-host of ABC's 20/20, and has been through years of alcohol abuse as a means to curb her panic and anxiety. Although she is a 12-stepper and has only been successful in her sobriety a few years, hearing her story was helpful.

Blackout:
Remembering the Things I Drank to Forget
I just started listening to this memoir by Sarah Hepola a few days ago. So far I am enjoying her prose and relating to a lot of her feelings. There is also a bit of wit that I find entertaining.
